Make It A Man Cave
Whether you’ve decided you need to build a pole barn, or you want to upgrade, why not make it your dream man cave space? There can be many limitations in your house when you need to get work done or simply want to get some quality shop time. The wife may also be happy for that new deer mount to be on some other wall than her living room! Here are some ideas to make your pole barn a proper man cave.

Milmar can fully insulate your structure and cover the interior with matching metal to make an easy to clean, yet bright and inviting space. If you prefer a darker more subdued tone, we can also apply darker colors to the interior or wood cladding for a lodge-like atmosphere.
A finished floor is also a nice feature. Some flooring options other than the traditional bare concrete are rolled rubber, floating laminate or carpet. The rolled rubber is usually seen in gyms and is easy to clean-up. The laminate floor gives it a very finished feel and carpet is nice if you are not planning on using that area for a shop. You can also paint or stain the concrete if you want to keep it simple, but classy.
What does your ideal barn man cave space include?
- Hobby shop
- Work shop
- Machine storage
- RV garage
- Car shop
- Entertainment/Gaming Area
- Office
Post frame builds can be done in pretty much any size you would want, so everything from small backyard she sheds to large, heated metal buildings for sizable car collections can be designed specifically for your needs and hobbies.

Here are some features you may want to consider to finish out your new space:
- Rolling Tool Chest: clear out your basement or garage and all your tools to the new space.
- Hunting equipment/reloading space: display your collection and make an area for cleaning and reloading equipment. An overhead track makes skinning and processing your game easier too.
- Gaming/Entertainment space: bring the games out or make a chill seating area for you to kick back with your friends and family to watch your favorite team. Throw up those signed memorabilia to really finish out that space!
- Car Collectors: Consider how you'll want to store your tools and equipment, as well as how many cars you're wanting to accommodate (now and in the future!) Some clients will plan to get a lift put into their builds as well, if they plan to work on their vehicles.
- Bar: complete with a counter, stools, neon signs, and a mini-fridge.
